EzeScan Licensing Information

EzeScan offers a range of licensing options designed to accommodate the unique requirements of your organisation.

Below, you'll find details regarding the various types of licenses available, along with their respective terms and conditions, as well as frequently asked questions. Should you require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

EzeScan Desktop/Server

Standalone Named License

  • Offers a perpetual right to use the software without expiration.
  • Involves an annual Software Subscription & Support (S&S) payment, ensuring ongoing access to product support and updates.
  • Initial S&S for the first year is commonly included with the initial license purchase.

Concurrent Annual License

  • Allows installation on up to three separate PCs, with only one PC operational at any given time.
  • Requires the Customer to subscribe to an Annual Software Maintenance and Licensing Agreement (ASML).
  • Non-renewal of ASML results in the Licensed Product ceasing operation upon license expiry.
  • Requires installation of EzeScan Authority Server to manage and distribute licenses

Subscription Licenses

  • Valid for a fixed period as defined in the licensing agreement.
  • Upon subscription period expiry, the option to extend or terminate the license is available. Non-renewal removes software access.
  • Software Support is inclusive within the subscription.
  • Subscription licenses can be Standalone or Concurrent.

Evaluation & Trial Licenses

  • Provided for short-term evaluation purposes.
  • License expires on the specified date of supply or 30 days after supply if no time is indicated.
  • Customer obligation to uninstall the software upon license expiry.


EzeScan WebApps

Subscription Licenses

  • Valid for a fixed period as defined in the licensing agreement.
  • Upon subscription period expiry, the option to extend or terminate the license is available. Non-renewal removes software access.
  • Software Support is inclusive within the subscription.

Evaluation & Trial Licenses

  • Provided for short-term evaluation purposes.

Licensing Terms and Conditions

Each license type is governed by agreements outlining the expected terms of use. By installing and/or using EzeScan software, you agree to these terms. EzeScan License Agreement as found below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Send an email to licensing@ezescan.com.au, telling us:

  • who you are (your name, phone number, company name, company address)
  • where you obtained your evaluation copy of EzeScan from
  • what you are planning to use EzeScan to do.

We will evaluate your request and email you a time-limited EzeScan LITE or EzeScan PRO evaluation license, based on the information you gave us. The evaluation software will stop working after a set number of days, and you agree to stop using the software after the expiry date.

 

Send an email to licensing@ezescan.com.au, telling us:

  • who you are (your name, phone number, company name, company address)
  • the EzeScan modules you purchased
  • the name of the Reseller you purchased them from.

Once we have confirmed receipt of your order, we will email you a time-limited EzeScan evaluation license based on the modules you have purchased. The software will stop working after a set number of days, and you agree to stop using the evaluation software after the expiry date.

Send an email to licensing@ezescan.com.au, telling us

  • who you are (your name, phone number, company name, company address)
  • the full computer name where EzeScan will be installed
  • the EzeScan modules you purchased
  • the name of the Reseller you purchased them from.

Once we have confirmed receipt of your order, we will email you a production EzeScan license based on the modules you have purchased. Production licenses are not time-limited and do not expire.

Provided that your software is covered by the initial 12 month Support & Maintenance period, or is covered by a paid up Annual Support & Maintenance renewal period, we allow you one license transfer per year at no cost (additional transfers wil incur a $250 admin fee and must be accompanied by a purchase order). As this is a license transfer, you agree to remove the software from the existing PC once the software has been installed and licensed on the new PC.

  • who you are (your name, phone number, company name, company address)
  • the name of the Reseller you purchased EzeScan from
  • the full computer name of the computer where EzeScan is currently installed
  • the full computer name of the computer where EzeScan will be transferred to.

Once we have confirmed your existing license, we will transfer the license from the old PC to the new PC and email you a new production license. As this is a license transfer, you agree to remove the software from the existing PC once the software has been installed and licensed on the new PC.Note: If your EzeScan software is not under covered by a currently paid up Support & Maintenance period, it is possible to use the license on another PC. For your old EzeScan license to work on your new PC, you must change the PC name of the new machine to match the name of the old PC.
